Life Skills Training

The centerpiece of Training Grounds life skills training is the development of the person.  Training Grounds produces participants who are able to assess and apply their personal strengths, define their personal & professional goals as well as are able to adapt and advance their strengths and personal goals.  Our participants graduate focused, confident and ready to make an impact in their community. 

Our life skills training program goes beyond teaching participants how to dress for an interview or the value of arriving to a job on-time.  Our program helps our participants to discover who they are and provides for them the platform to succeed using their 4-A foundation which serves as a guiding light towards realizing their dreams.

Training Grounds’ curriculum incorporates personal asset development (who you are and what do you have to offer) and entrepreneurship training.

Training Grounds uses entrepreneurship training to help participants adapt and advance their new found knowledge of their strengths and gifts to teach them about the valuable role they can play in the overall success of any business or company.

Training Grounds Partners with:

• Schools—we believe that life skills help our young participants succeed in the classroom as they understand the connection between education and the world of work.
• Community based organizations—we work with other nonprofit organizations that provide services to the same target population and are committed to producing tangible outcomes for the community’s youth
• Corporate partners—we help bridge the gap between our struggling urban youth and adults and the corporate culture they must learn to navigate to have a real chance at success.
